Each piece is an artistic one-off.

A sideboard that is made as a one-off and becomes a work of art with the elaborate inlay work on the door fronts. The body is made of ash and is refined with leather handles. The veneers are colored in advance with pigmented hardwax oil in color gradients and then assembled into a landscape image in the next step. The transformation of photos into watercolor drawings serves as inspiration for the landscape paintings.

Previously drawn watercolors were used to translate the landscape photo for this inlaid work. People long for nature. For rest and inspiration. With the Landscapes collection, Agnes Morguet deals with the transformation of nature photos into watercolor drawings in order to then translate them into shapes, colors and materials. This is how products were created that move between design and art, to transfer the calm and power of nature into a spatial context. As our society speeds up, so does the need for calm. The inlaid paintings created by Agnes Morguet create depth in space and an atmosphere that transmits the calm of nature to the viewer with the help of the richness of nuances and clarity.
