About the author

Alison M. Gingeras is a curator and writer based in New York and Warsaw. She has worked as a curator at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, New York, the Center Pompidou, Paris, and the Palazzo Grassi, Venice. In addition to her freelance work, Gingeras currently works as an assistant curator at the Dallas Contemporary and as a guest curator at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Miami and the Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw.
